How to use this printable

  • Print the card and set it face-up in the middle of the table next to the center cup.
  • Spread a full deck face-down in a ring around the cup. Players take turns drawing one card and doing what this sheet says.
  • Agree your house rules before you start - the 5 = Guys and 6 = Chicks cards are often swapped for 'left/right drinks' so they work for any group.
  • Whoever draws the fourth King drinks the center cup, and that ends the round. Keep sips small and water handy.

FAQ

What do the cards mean in Kings Cup?
Each card triggers a rule: Ace is a waterfall, 2 is 'you' (pick someone to drink), 3 is 'me' (you drink), 4 is floor, 7 is heaven, 8 is mate, and so on up to King, which adds to the center cup. This printable lists all thirteen meanings from Ace to King on one sheet.
Are Kings Cup rules the same everywhere?
No - the core cards like Ace (waterfall) and King (the cup) are near-universal, but many groups have their own twists, especially for the number cards. That is exactly why a printed card helps: agree your version at the start and everyone plays the same rules all night.
What happens on the last King?
The first three Kings each add some drink to the center cup. Whoever draws the fourth and final King has to drink the whole center cup, which ends the round. Some groups make that player start the next game.
